Manage open tasks from the dashboard
Keep operational follow-ups in one shared queue, assign owners, and jump directly to the affected record.
Before you start
- Access to the studio dashboard
- 1
Open the task inbox
The fourth dashboard metric shows the number of open tasks and replaces the old Pending tile. Select Open tasks to expand the inbox downward across the dashboard; select it again to collapse the queue.
- 2
Work through the queue
The inbox shows three tasks per page, ordered by priority and due date. Use the arrow pagination below the list to move between pages. Overdue work is highlighted so urgent exceptions stay visible.
- 3
Use automatic tasks
StudioPlan creates one deduplicated task for each relevant private-class request, open or overdue invoice, actionable membership expiry, or failed delivery. Membership expiry only becomes a task when renewal is not automatic or renewal/payment has a problem. Incomplete client profiles are not turned into tasks. If the underlying issue is resolved elsewhere, its active task closes automatically.
- 4
Add a manual task
Expand the inbox and select Add. Enter a title and optional note, then choose priority, due date, responsible team member, and location in the side sheet. Save to add it to the shared queue.
- 5
Filter the queue
Select the filter button in the expanded inbox. Narrow tasks by status, responsible person, type, location, or overdue state. Pagination updates to the filtered result.
- 6
Update or open a task
Use the rounded status menu to move a task between Open, In progress, Done, and Dismissed. The circle completes it immediately. For automatic tasks, the arrow opens the exact invoice, client, class, payout, or request that needs attention.
Tips
- Assign a clear owner and due date to manual tasks so they remain actionable.
- Resolve automatic tasks in the linked workflow when possible; StudioPlan then closes the task and retains its audit history.
