Edit a client's membership

Pause, extend, or correct the dates of an assigned membership. Stripe auto-renew billing moves with the new end date.

Before you start

  • A client with an assigned membership
  1. 1

    Open the client

Go to Clients and open the client whose membership you want to adjust.

  2. 2

    Open the Memberships tab

In the client profile, switch to Memberships to see their active and past memberships.

  3. 3

    Pause or extend

On the membership card, use Pause to freeze access for a chosen period, or Extend to add days, weeks, months, or a custom end date. A reason is required. The preview shows the new end date and the next Stripe charge.

  4. 4

    Correct dates if needed

The edit icon still changes start and end dates directly. If the membership auto-renews through Stripe, the next invoice date moves with the new end date. Nothing is charged immediately.

Tips

  • Leave “shift the end date” on when pausing for holiday or illness so the client does not lose paid days and Stripe does not bill during the freeze.
  • Extend and pause never create an extra Stripe payment now. The next regular period is billed on the new date.
  • Memberships without a Stripe subscription only change local dates.
