Reward TWINT payments with loyalty points

Set a fixed points bonus for successful TWINT payments and understand how refunds affect it.

5 min read

Before you start

  • Permission to manage products and an enabled loyalty program
  • Stripe Connect with TWINT active and TWINT enabled for your studio
  1. 1

    Open the earning rules

On web, open Products → Promotions & Rewards and find Points Earning Rules. In the studio mobile app, open Products → Loyalty Program. Enable the loyalty program if it is not already active.

  2. 2

    Set the TWINT bonus

Find TWINT payment, enable its rule, enter the fixed number of extra points per payment and save. For example, 20 awards 20 extra points per successful payment, regardless of its amount. Set 0 or disable the rule to stop future bonuses. This rule does not use a multiplier.

  3. 3

    Let clients choose TWINT

Class and product payment choices show the bonus when it is active. Clients approve each TWINT payment themselves. Supported paid CHF bookings, membership/service purchases and outstanding class payments collected through a TWINT payment link can qualify. Card, cash, free, pending and unsuccessful payments do not earn this bonus.

  4. 4

    Check the client’s history

After payment is confirmed, the client sees TWINT payment bonus in their loyalty activity on web or mobile. Each payment earns the bonus once, even if its confirmation is processed again. Other enabled loyalty rules, such as attendance points, continue independently.

  5. 5

    Understand refunds and changes

A partial or full refund removes the entire fixed TWINT bonus once. The original number of points is reversed, even if you later change the bonus or disable the program. A cancelled/refunded payment does not keep its bonus. Reversals appear in the client’s loyalty history. If the points were already spent, the balance stops at zero under the existing loyalty rules; lifetime-earned is not reduced.

  6. 6

Review the cost of your rewards

Compare your actual payment-provider fees with the expected cost of redeemed rewards. Points have the reward value you define; they are not automatically cash credit. A bonus encourages TWINT use but does not change your provider’s tariff. Historical payments are not awarded in bulk when you activate the rule.

Tips

  • A bonus is awarded per payment, not per franc or per participant. A single payment covering two people still earns one bonus.
  • StudioPlan currently asks clients to approve each TWINT payment; loyalty points do not enable automatic TWINT subscription charges.
  • If no bonus appears, check that the program and TWINT rule are active, the bonus is greater than zero, and the CHF payment is confirmed. Contact support with the payment reference if it is still missing. Never request a second payment just to obtain points.
