Set a lower event price for members

Give clients with an active membership a cheaper price for an event, while everyone else pays the regular price.

3 min read

Before you start

  • At least one active membership type (Products → Memberships)
  • You can create or edit classes and events
  1. 1

    Open or create an event

Go to Classes → Events and click New Event, or open an existing event to edit it. In the class sheet, make sure Mark as Event is switched on (it is already on when you start from the Events page). The member price is only available for events, not for regular classes.

  2. 2

    Set the regular price

Enter the normal price in the Price field. This is what guests and clients without a membership pay.

  3. 3

    Switch on Member price

Below the event toggle, switch on Member price and set the price for members. It must be lower than the regular price, otherwise it is ignored. You can enter 0 to make the event free for members.

  4. 4

Choose who counts as a member

Under Applies to, choose All memberships, or Selected memberships only and tap the membership types that qualify. At least one type has to stay selected. A membership counts when it is active, not paused, and valid on the day of the event. Remaining credits do not matter, because events are never paid with credits.

  5. 5

Save and check the booking page

Save the event. On your public booking page everyone sees the regular price with the member price next to it. A client who is logged in and holds a qualifying membership sees the regular price crossed out and their member price, and pays that price at checkout. The same applies in the mobile app.

Tips

  • Clients must be logged in to get the member price. Guests always see and pay the regular price, even if they type a member's email address. Tell guests to log in first.
  • The member price applies to card, TWINT and pay-at-studio bookings, and to clients promoted from the waitlist.
  • If a client holds several memberships, one qualifying membership is enough.
  • Refunds follow the amount that was actually paid, so a refund for a member booking returns the member price.
  • Recurring event schedules do not support a member price yet; set it on each single event.
